Welfare

The RSA offers assistance to the ex-service community in a number of ways including welfare and pension advice as well as friendship and support in times of need. Warren Gould and Welfare Van From hospital visiting to the distribution of meals, RSA's welfare responsibilities cover a wide section of the community.

Our Welfare Van could be used to get you to and back from a medical appointment locally, Kawakawa or in Whangarei.
Kerikeri has its own welfare officer who assists and advises on the many community services available to all ex-service personnel and their families etc

We currently have limited number of Mobility scooters available. If you would like one of these scooters please contact our Welfare Officer

Any disability or illness that could be related to service may get you a Disability Pension. If you have a Disability Pension already then you should have it reviewed regularly. Remember that at present a 70% Disability Pension entitles a surviving spouse to a pension.
Smoking related problems and cataracts are common disabilities where we may be able to help you.
